This August, Everywhen is proud to be supporting an inspiring Welsh fundraising challenge to raise money and awareness for motor neurone disease (MND) and prostate cancer.

Through our Wales and West team, we're sponsoring Paddle, Peak and Pedal, an extraordinary test of endurance led by former Wales international rugby union player, Paul Thorburn.

Starting on Thursday 20 August 2026, a team of eight will embark on a 12-day challenge that begins in Mumbles, Swansea. Their journey will see them kayak up the Welsh coastline to the Isle of Anglesey, before climbing Snowdon (the highest mountain in Wales), and finally cycling 150 miles back to Swansea. The event will finish on Monday 31 August 2026.

The goal is simple: to raise £50,000 to support the MND Association and Prostate Cymru  to help fund vital work for people affected by MND and prostate cancer.

With local offices in both Cardiff and Swansea, we're passionate about supporting the communities that we serve, and we're honoured to play a small part in helping Paul and his team achieve their fundraising ambitions alongside a number of other fantastic sponsors.

Justin Newton, Regional Managing Director, Everywhen says:

"The scale of this challenge cannot be underestimated. To take on such a demanding programme is an incredible effort, and one that reflects the passion and dedication Paul and the team have for the causes they are supporting. Everyone at Everywhen is proud to stand behind them as they raise awareness and vital funds for charities doing such important work."

Paul Thorburn, Challenge Leader says:

“My challenge colleagues and I have all witnessed the devastating impact that these diseases have on individuals, their close families and friends. We’re delighted that Everywhen is sponsoring us as we aim to support the ongoing research into finding cures. As well as the financial donation, the input from Everywhen has proven invaluable, ensuring we’ve considered all the risks and made appropriate plans to deal with the daily activities and any unexpected situations which sometimes arise with challenges of this magnitude.”

We'd like to wish Paul and the whole Paddle, Peak and Pedal team the very best of luck as they take on this remarkable challenge. We’ll be rooting for them every step of the way.
