We’re pleased to share that Everywhen has achieved the external Menopause Friendly Accreditation – the recognised mark of excellence for organisations supporting menopause in the workplace. We’re very proud to have reached this milestone.
Everywhen achieves Menopause Friendly Accreditation
About the accreditation
The Menopause Friendly Accreditation was established by Henpicked: Menopause In The Workplace in 2021 to certify high standards and proven practices that embrace menopause in the workplace. Industry recognised and the only accreditation that sets clear standards which must be met, it is considered the benchmark for excellence in this space.
This accreditation has been a long-term ambition for us since 2023 and reflects our commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive experience for every Everywhen colleague.
What this means
This achievement reflects our commitment to becoming a truly inclusive workplace for all, solidifying Everywhen’s ambition to be an employer of choice. We want to ensure that colleague wellbeing and support are firmly embedded in our culture, always and at all times.
Being awarded the Menopause Friendly Accreditation certifies that Everywhen meets high standards and proven practices in supporting people experiencing menopause in the workplace. It is a ‘best in class’ marker that demonstrates the positive impact of our actions in this area.
How we got here
More than 600 businesses across the UK have signed up to work towards this accreditation, but only 107 have passed the audit and achieved it to date. Of these, just six are insurance firms, placing Everywhen among a select group leading the way in this space.
To achieve accreditation, Everywhen was assessed by an independent panel and required to demonstrate evidence of effectiveness across five key areas:
Culture
Policies and practices
Training
Engagement
Our working environment
By achieving this standard, Everywhen joins a wider community of menopause friendly accredited employers – from FTSE100 companies to charities, public sector bodies to retailers, global banking groups to sports organisations – all of whom have taken meaningful action to improve the lived experience of menopause in their workplaces.
An incredible milestone
Reflecting on the news, Claire Hunt, Everywhen Chief People Officer, said:
“I’m so pleased to hear this incredible news. This is no small achievement and is testament to all of the incredible work that our community has done in the last three years to create cultural change, stronger processes and build an empowered workforce.”
Andrew Walker, Everywhen’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager, added:
“Achieving Menopause Friendly Accreditation is a proud milestone for us. Over the past three years we’ve been compiling evidence and making changes to our environment so we could get to this point of external accreditation. It also strengthens our position as an employer of choice and allows us to showcase our market leading employee experience that sets us apart.”
