What does landlord home emergency cover include?
With one call an approved contractor will come to your rented property and make emergency repairs if your property is affected by an unforeseen domestic emergency.
The policy will pay up to £500 for all contractor’s costs, charges, and parts and materials used relating to the same emergency.
The policy includes all the following domestic emergencies:
The complete breakdown of the heating system
Plumbing and drainage problems
Damage which affects your property's security, including locks and windows
If the only toilet is broken
Loss of the power supply
Lost keys
Vermin infestation
In addition the policy can provide alternative overnight accommodation (up to £250) for your tenants if your property is unsafe or uncomfortable to stay in.
What isn’t included in landlord home emergency cover?
Events that do not result in the property becoming damaged, unsafe or unsecure to stay in
Contractor’s costs that you incur without our consent
The costs of reinstatement or redecorating the property where damage has been caused
Wear and tear, day-to-day maintenance and making permanent repairs once the emergency has been dealt with
Heating breakdown if the boiler is more than 15 years old
Warm air, LPG and solar heating
Leaking appliances
Roof damage

How much does landlord home emergency cover cost?
Landlord's home emergency cover costs £215.39 (including IPT of 12%) per property, per year. We will pay up to £500 per claim in total and cover:
