Portraits of Care Campaign
We have launched our latest campaign ‘Care through my eyes’ - a positive campaign to encourage employees within the care sector, families of those in care and the people being cared for to change the wider perception of care by sharing real life examples of care from their perspective.
It could be a one word answer such as a feeling or something as simple as an example of favourite activities, dinners, times throughout the day, favourite seasons and why, a friendship between carer and resident/service user, a family members favourite time to visit or even a favourite carer.
This campaign builds on the Casey review findings that the care sector is not seen to have as many positives as the NHS and throw stereotypes out the window to see care from those who experience it every day, to show off the positives it brings to families and employees.
